Qtopia GnuBoy

Description:

DEVELOPMENT ON THIS PROJECT HAS STOPPED!. A new, enhanced version of this emulator has been developed and is available here. This new binary is approximately 2x as fast as my original.

Qtopia Gnuboy is a Qtopia port of Gnuboy Gameboy emulator. It supports both color and black & white games however sound has not been tested. Qtopia Gnuboy needs some speed enhancements to be fully usable with some more complex games.

As of patch version 2, Qtopia Gnuboy now contains Qtopia Gnuboy Launcher. This application allows you to launch Qtopia Gnuboy from the Qtopia desktop using the icon in the games tab. DO NOT contact me asking for ROMs. Because of legal issues I will not distribute GB ROMs.

Qtopia Gnuboy is a patch for Gnuboy.

Mike Hazelwood sent in:

By making a few changes, I was able to get your GnuBoy application associated with all of the *.gb and *.gbc files in my Zaurus. By doing this, I can start each Gameboy game by simply selecting it in the Documents tab.

I added the following line to the /home/QtPalmtop/etc/mime.types file (on the Zaurus):
application/gameboy gb gbc

I also added the following lines to your qtopiagnuboy.desktop file:
MimeType=application/gameboy
MimeTypeIcons=GnuBoy
