This is not meant to be a scientific study, but a reference for those curious about the effects of a hungerstrike on the body. I sent a list of questions that I thought would be relevant to people within the animal rights community. Again, there is nothing at all scientific about my approach, and I make no claims about the usefulness of the information gathered.

i was in jail this past july for four days. while i was in jail i had problems with other inmates making sexual advances towards me. during that time i was on hungerstrike, and i feel that because of this the inmates were not more aggressive in their attempts to persuade me to have sex with them. i think they felt like they couldnt take advantage of someone who wasnt fully able to defend themselves because they were on hungerstrike. i dont know if this helps you at all, and i dont even know for sure if the hungerstrike was the reason that i wasnt raped, but you can use it if it helps.
