I am a nurse!
This sucks for a number of reasons:
- Exposure to diseases
- Poor working conditions
- Little monetary compensation/ raises which rarely exceed the cost of living (I have been there nearly 5 years and only make $4,000 more a year than when I started!)
- Little time to spend with poor husband
- Not very well respected by someone who has never needed one (i.e. people feel that you clean up shit for a living!)
- Too physically straining (hauling and pulling 700 lb renal failure patients around)
- You have to work weekends
- I feel like a waitress with a college degree (no free thinking allowed)
- You have to sell your soul to get off vacation time you have earned
But fear not my friends....there is hope for me yet!
My options:
I have several options with which I find myself presented that might remedy the situation:
- Go back to school for something.
- Become a kept woman (tempting)
- Make babies (not even maybe!)
- Keep praying for a perfect research job to find me
- Suffer
I think going back to school is the best option...
My dear husband says that in order to go back to school for something computer related, I must gain a strong understanding of something called html. I thought he was trying to teach me something so that he can allot more time to his computer games by forcing me to sit in fromt of a computer too, so I did some homework last night.
